Exotic, sculptural, and seriously mesmerising, Alocasia ‘Dragon Scale’ is a true collector favourite known for its thick, textured leaves that resemble dragon skin. Each leaf features deep green to silvery-green tones with bold, dark veining, creating a stunning three-dimensional, armour-like look. Compact but incredibly striking, it’s perfect for shelves, plant cabinets, desks, and indoor styling where detail and texture really shine.
Thriving in warm, humid climates like FNQ, Alocasia ‘Dragon Scale’ performs best with stable moisture, warmth, and good humidity. It’s a slower-growing, premium-style aroid that rewards consistent care with incredibly beautiful foliage.
🪴 Planting tip: Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered shade. Keep soil evenly moist using a chunky, free-draining aroid mix and avoid letting it fully dry out. Loves humidity and warm conditions. Avoid harsh direct sun.
🌸 Flowering: May produce an aroid spathe and spadix occasionally, though foliage is the main feature.
📏 Mature size: Typically 30–50 cm tall when mature.
