Moody, dramatic, and beautifully elegant, Calathea ‘Black Rose’ is a stunning indoor foliage plant loved for its deep, near-black burgundy leaves layered with soft rose-pink patterning through the centre. The velvety finish and rich tones give this plant a luxury, high-contrast look that stands out in any indoor jungle. The underside of the leaves shows deep burgundy tones, adding even more depth and movement as the leaves shift throughout the day.
Thriving in warm, humid climates like FNQ, Calathea ‘Black Rose’ performs best indoors with gentle light, consistent moisture, and higher humidity. Like other prayer plants, its leaves gently move and fold upward in the evening, bringing life and personality to your space.
🪴 Planting tip: Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered shade. Keep soil evenly moist using a free-draining indoor mix and maintain good humidity. Avoid direct sun, dry soil, and cold drafts.
