Rich, colourful, and beautifully eye-catching, Calathea ‘Rosey / Crimson’ is loved for its dramatic deep green leaves flushed with vivid rosy-pink centres and fine feathered patterning. The underside reveals rich burgundy tones, adding depth and movement as the leaves shift throughout the day. Compact and lush, this variety brings a soft tropical glow to bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, and offices.
Thriving in warm, humid climates like FNQ, this calathea performs beautifully indoors when given gentle light and consistent moisture. Like other prayer plants, its leaves subtly move and lift through the day and evening, giving it personality as well as colour.
🪴 Planting tip: Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered shade. Keep soil evenly moist using a free-draining indoor mix and enjoy higher humidity. Avoid direct sun, dry soil, and cold drafts.
🌸 Flowering: Rare indoors; grown mainly for its vibrant patterned foliage.
