Calathea makoyana – Large 🌿💚

Delicate, artistic, and beautifully tropical — Calathea makoyana is one of the most decorative foliage plants you can bring into your home. Nicknamed the Peacock Plant, its large, oval leaves are painted with soft green feathering, deep emerald markings, and a purple underside that glows when the light hits. In the large size, this plant becomes a true statement piece, adding gentle movement and lush rainforest vibes to any indoor space.
Makoyana thrives in FNQ’s warm humidity, staying full, glossy, and vibrant with the right care. Its leaves rise and fall throughout the day in classic prayer-plant fashion, giving it a living, breathing presence that makes any room feel calmer and more alive.
🪴 Planting tip: Loves bright, indirect light, high humidity, and consistently moist soil. Avoid harsh sun and use filtered water where possible to prevent leaf spotting.
🌸 Flowering: Occasional small white blooms — prized mainly for its stunning foliage.
