Fresh, fragrant, and wonderfully easy to grow — Garlic Chives are a must-have herb for every home garden. With their flat green leaves and delicate garlicky flavour, they’re perfect for dumplings, stir-fries, soups, omelettes, marinades, and garnishing just about any savoury dish. They grow fast, clump beautifully, and provide a continuous harvest all year in FNQ.
Garlic chives thrive in garden beds or pots and are incredibly hardy once established. Pick a little or pick a lot — they bounce back quickly, making them a fantastic cut-and-come-again herb for busy home cooks and beginner gardeners.
🪴 Planting tip: Loves full sun to part shade, rich soil, and regular watering. Trim often to keep them tender and to encourage fresh new growth.
🌸 Flowering: White star-shaped blooms in warm weather — edible and loved by bees.
