Robust, productive, and packed with goodness, Kale ‘Storm’ is a reliable leafy green loved for its deeply textured, dark green leaves and strong, upright growth. This variety produces generous harvests of tender, flavourful leaves perfect for salads, smoothies, stir-fries, soups, and roasting. Its attractive foliage also makes it a great edible feature in veggie gardens and large pots.
Well suited to warm climates like FNQ when grown through the cooler months, Kale ‘Storm’ is easy to grow and highly productive with regular picking. It’s a cut-and-come-again vegetable that keeps delivering fresh leaves over an extended season.
🪴 Planting tip: Prefers full sun to part shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly and harvest outer leaves often to encourage continuous new growth. Mulch well to keep roots cool.
🌸 Flowering: Grown for foliage; flowering occurs if plants bolt in warmer conditions.
📏 Mature size: Typically 40–60 cm tall with a sturdy, upright habit.
