Bold, vibrant, and beautifully tropical, Mandevilla ‘Illusion Red’ is a stunning flowering climber loved for its rich red trumpet-shaped blooms and glossy deep green foliage. This variety has a naturally compact, tidy growth habit compared to traditional mandevillas, making it perfect for pots, trellises, arches, and patio styling where you want strong vertical colour without an overly aggressive climber.
Thriving in warm, tropical climates like FNQ, Mandevilla ‘Illusion Red’ loves heat and sunshine and rewards regular care with continuous flowers through the warmer months. It’s perfect for creating that lush, resort-style tropical feel in outdoor living spaces.
🪴 Planting tip: Loves full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. Water regularly during warm weather and feed with flowering fertiliser for continuous blooms. Provide support if climbing, or allow to mound in pots.
