Thyme – Thymus vulgaris 🌿✨
A fragrant favourite for every herb garden! Thyme is a hardy, sun-loving herb with tiny aromatic leaves that add depth and warmth to roasts, marinades, soups, and Mediterranean dishes. Its earthy flavour and delicate texture make it a kitchen essential — and it smells incredible, too!
This easy-going perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, even in tough spots. It’s perfect for pots, rock gardens, or edging your veggie patch. Once established, it’s drought-tolerant and rewards you with lush growth and tiny purple flowers that bees adore.
🪴 Planting tip: Loves full sun and free-draining soil. Trim regularly after flowering to keep it neat and encourage new growth.
🌸 Flowering: Summer, with small mauve blooms that attract pollinators.
📏 Mature size: Around 30 cm tall x 40 cm wide.
